FAL - 'Funky As Leeflank'

Our beer, your cheer!

After having been a passionate hobby brewer for a few years and having learned the brewing process by trial and error, the Leeflank domain has launched its first beer on the market: FAL!  FAL stands for 'Funky As Leeflank' and is a reference to the wine estate of the parents of brewer Free.  

Since the age of eighteen, Free has had its hands on the brewing microbe.  This was in 2013.  His father and grandfather have been winemakers for many years and the love for producing alcoholic beverages himself was born.  Fortunately, the young guard keeps the pride of the Belgian beer culture high in the family.  

Brewing takes place on the domain itself in a fifty-litre installation.  We use this equipment to try out new recipes and to experiment with tastes, smells and colours.  The successful test brews will be drunk and sold in the future on the estate in Lede (East Flanders, Belgium).  

Our flagship FAL is being brewed on larger volumes at The Brew Society in Heule (Kortrijk) in collaboration with brewery De Sater in Nazareth. In the meantime, our FAL has been awarded a gold medal at the Meininger International Craft Beer Award, an international beer competition in Germany.
